Group Health's Intranet is a key resource for all employees - from Physicians to Billing services. Internal teams and individual contributors rely on the information provided on Group Health's Intranet to complete mission critical tasks, as well as stay connected to Group Health's mission, goals, policies, news and events. Group Health employs a distributed content model, with designated users throughout the company creating and managing the content in their areas.
As part of the Intranet team, you will consult and collaborate with numerous departmental/division managers and individual content contributors to determine information requirements, usability needs and solutions for their sections. You will also provide ongoing operation and maintenance support, including helping to establish and monitor intranet best practices; training content contributors on tools and technologies used on the Group Health Intranet; and, troubleshooting issues. As part of Group Health's Agile Development model, you will also work on Intranet enhancement projects such as Search functionality, social media integration, content management models, template design, user group meetings and usability projects related to future direction/technology for Group Health's Intranet.
Qualifications
Experience requirements
Minimum: 2-3 years experience in web content processes, web page development, development tools, HTML, producing web content and maintenance. Preferred: 2-3 years experience with programming languages and web application creation.
Knowledge requirements
Minimum: Ability to manage multiple projects; an understanding & respect for diverse customers; proven success in a team environment; and exceptional interpersonal verbal & written communication. Strong organizing information, problem solving, analytical and writing for the web (technical writing) skills. Proven ability to communicate with diverse audiences in a competent manner. Demonstrates working knowledge of web development software. Demonstrates excellence in technical skills and knowledge of web processes and technical solutions. Strong working knowledge and proficiency in HTML, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, content management systems, and other Web tools. Preferred: Demonstrated success in planning, consulting, negotiating, and project management. Demonstrated leadership abilities and able to engage a wide audience within the administrative and Information Services staff. Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, Paint Shop Pro, and Visio.
Education requirements
Minimum: Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications, Library Science, Computer Science or related field. Comparable education and training may be acceptable. Preferred: Certification in Communications or Technical Communication or User Centered Design (usability) or HCI (Human Computer Interaction).
